This site uses cookies to provide a better visitor experience and to handle the administration of our affiliate links. We don’t use cookies to gather personal information to pass-on or sell to other parties.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your computer by your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) at the request of a site you’re viewing. This allows the site to remember things about you, such as your preferences and history, or keeping you logged in.

Cookies might be stored on your computer for a short time, maybe only while your browser is open, or for an extended period. Cookies not set by this site will not be accessible to us.

We use cookies for…

  • Registration and maintaining your preferences. This includes ensuring that you can stay logged-in, and that the site appearance is as you’ve requested.
  • Analytics; this allows us to find out how people are using the site and to improve it.
  • Affiliate banners & links – these are mostly found in the ‘Reviews’ section in our Blog. These cookies help us to generate a small income when a visitor uses a discount coupon, or purchases a product from one of our recommended affiliate partners.┬áThese cookies may be set by third parties, in which case this site has no ability to read or write these cookies.
  • Other things like WordPress comments, Facebook or Twitter sharing. These cookies will generally be set by the third-party independently, so this site will have no ability to access them.

Why do we use affiliate links?

We aim to offer an outstanding service and excellent value for money for all of our clients. Wherever we encounter similar levels of service from one of our suppliers we try to highlight the fact by publishing an honest review in our blog. In many cases we promote small companies based in our own region. Occasionally we may review and promote larger organisations who either have a great product, or have demonstrated a special focus on customer service. Larger organisations often pay a small fee for sales generated from ‘affiliate links’ such as those found in our blog. Affiliate links are clearly identified as such in our blog posts.
